Clara Gunge
Clara Gunge is a danish lyric soprano based in Stockholm, Sweden. She graduated in the spring of 2023 from the opera academy, Stockholm University of the Arts, finishing the education by singing the title role of Massenet's Cendrillon at Folkoperan in Stockholm. Earlier studies includes a bachelors degree from The Royal Academy of music Aarhus.
In the Autumn of 2022, she made her debut at the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm as Annina in Verdis La Traviata as part of her internship. In the summer of 2022 she made her debut as Pamina in a production by Suitcase Opera in Umeå, and in the summer of 2023 she revisited the role in a full scale production of Die Zauberflöte with Lyrical Opera Studio Weimar in Germany.
During the season 23/24 she is joining the young artist program Folkoperans Talangprogram, where she is part of the solistensemble of Vita Hästen (Im Weißen Rößl).
Clara is a used concert singer, who enjoys the nordic summers open air stages as well as the church room. She also takes an interest in the lied genre and likes managing her own themed projects and concerts, such as living room concerts Schubertiader, "cake-concerts" and more.
Scholarships include among others Helle og Arenth Jacobsens legat for unge kunstnere and Lisbeth Håkanssons stipendium.
